I liked the first book in the series well enough to try the second. I am thoroughly hooked. I know this is the book where the series changes track and begins to focus on Cordelia’s and Aral’s child Miles. I cannot wait to learn more about him.

I have all the Vorkosigan books but I haven’t gotten around to reading them yet. I’ve only read Young Miles, which contains this one, a novella and another novel. It was a good place to start and it made me curious about Miles’ parents.
Your really should read Shards of Honor which introduces Aral and Cordelia. It will explain a lot of the back story as you continue in the series.
I have read all of them, except the most recent. My husband is reading them now and he has the eReader. I’ll get it away from him later.
I absolutely adore this series. They get better and better.
